KIDS PROGRAMMING POLICIES:

CLASSES AND CAMPS:

Registration fees, changes, and cancellations:

  • Payment in full is required for all programs (please reach out for needs based payment plans and scholarship requests).
  • Registrations are non-refundable. Please check your dates carefully.
  • Registrations are transferable to other children. Transfer requests must be made via email (the.c.and.a.staff@gmail.com)
  • Multi child discounts only apply to siblings.
  • Cancellation: Registration fees may be converted to a kids shop credit up to 30 days before the start date of a program. All requests must be made via email (the.c.and.a.staff@gmail.com)
  • Transfer or change requests must be made via email (the.c.and.a.staff@gmail.com) no more than 30 days before your camp/class start date. We do our best to accommodate change requests however, we cannot guarantee acceptance of change requests due to the popularity of our programs.
  • Registrations are transferable to other children.

  • Occasionally, classes and camps do not meet minimum sign up requirements (typically 4-5 participants). Camps and classes may be cancelled up to 5 days prior to the event start time. We will notify affected families via email in the case of course cancellation. Affected families may choose a refund or kids shop credit.
  • 2018-2019 School Break packages expire at the end of the school year and may not be used towards summer camp registration.
  • Preschool Playdate, Drop-in, Club and Wake + Make packages expire 1 year from purchase date. Packages may not be transfered to other programs unless the specific  program is discontinued.
  • Please contact the shop to be placed on a waitlist for any program.
  • We are unable to offer refunds or credits if your child are unable to attend an event due to illness or other factors.

Other important policies:

  • Children must be five years old to qualify for drop-off programming. We reserve the right to retain your registration fees if this policy is not honored.
  • We are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all children and we solve problems peacefully. However, if your child is harming themselves or others, we reserve the right to excuse a child from programming without refund.
  • All participants must have a current waiver and emergency contact information on file.
  • Participants must follow all safety rules and guidelines.
  • Children must come dressed for success.
    • Mess making clothes required.
    • No open toed shoes allowed in the workshop.
    • Tie back long hair.
  • Parents and caregivers of children younger than 5, stay and play.
  • Please pick up and drop-off on time.
    • Drop-off is no earlier than 5 minutes prior to event start time.
    • We reserve the right to charge up to $1/minute late pick up charge.
  • We are a nut free space.

KIDS PARTIES and PRIVATE EVENTS:

  • Base rate prepayment is required for all private parties and events.
  • Scheduling change requests must be made via email no more than 30 days prior to event.
  • Cancellation requests may be made up to 30 days before event. Cancellations will incur a $125 cancellation fee. No refunds or credits will be given after the 30 day mark.
  • Bookings are made in 1.5 hour and 2 hour increments. You will have 15 minutes on either side of your event for set up/break down.
  • Outside food and drink are a-ok. We are a nut-free space.
  • We have reusable plates, forks, etc for up to 20 guests.
  • Parents and caregivers of children younger than 5, stay and play.
  • Tips are appreciated but not expected.

ADULT PROGRAMMING POLICIES:

 

TICKED WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES

  • Registrations are non refundable. Please check your dates carefully.
  • Adult workshops are for those 18+. 16+ with a 21+ adult ok.
  • Adult workshops are BYOB and 21+ adults may consume alcohol during workshops only after they have finished using any tools (power or otherwise).

  • Cancellation: Registration fees may be converted to an adult programming shop credit up to 30 days before the start date of a program. All requests must be made via email (the.c.and.a.staff@gmail.com)
  • We do our best to accommodate change requests however, we cannot guarantee accomodation of all requests due to the popularity of our programs.
  • Please arrive on time. It’s good manners.
  • Tipping is always appreciated but not required.
  • All workshop safety procedures must be followed.
  • We reserve the right to excuse any participant who is intoxicated, or otherwise disruptive to the learning environment. No refunds will be given.
  • Workshops maybe cancelled if less than 4 participants are registered 48 hours prior to the event. In the case of a cancellation, we will contact participants with a refund, credit and/or alternative date options.
