Embroidery is a craft you can pick up and put down, its portable, quiet and peaceful. Now how do you do it? In this edition of Workshop Wednesday, we'll go through the top ten embroidery stitches to get you started on your free form embroidery path. You'll receive an 8" hoop, a 12"x12" piece of un-dyed muslin and a variety of threads to choose from. You'll even take home our stitch cheat sheet to keep you on track. I'll take you through each stitch to create an embroidery sampler. Once we break it down and practice, you'll be an embroidery machine!
Using thick copper foil, we'll design, trace, and emboss a copper relief. We'll apply a faux patina to each finished piece then attach our work to a piece of reclaimed wood. Mix and match to create wall art, a standing plaque or even custom jewelry.

Linoleum block printing was one of my favorites in elementary school art class. It's a little dangerous and a lot of fun. In this edition of Workshop Wednesday, we'll explore basic lino cut technique and print our cool cuts onto paper cards. Bring your own bags/shirts/etc. to print on!
