Join paper artist, Bethany O'Halloran for a night of paper quilling. This decorative craft had it's first heyday during the Italian Renaissance when monks and nuns would cut the gilded edges from manuscripts, wound them around a quill (hence the name) and used the spiraled papers as ornamentation. During the Victorian era and again in the late 1970s quilling experienced a surge in craft popularity. Join us for a modern take on this age-old craft. Use your quilling skills to adorn cards (perfect for the holidays), ornaments, place cards, and wall art. Paper, quill, tools, materials, and know-how included in your registration. Take home your quill and as many creations as you like. We'll have additional materials and tools available for purchase in the shop to continue your quilling at home.
