Come learn the fine art of spoon carving from our master woodworker, Tim Machlan. In this intensive mini series, we will discuss the various tools for spoon carving, the basics of sharpening, design considerations, and learn the significance and use of wood grain. We will begin our wood study with boards and by the final class you will have produced at least one spoon of your own design.
Our goal is that by the end of this series, you will be comfortably using bandsaws, gouges, knives, rasps, sandpaper and oil to create your own beautiful wooden utensils.
